This is the website of Hobbies R Fun, an internet based retail store operating from Lindenow, Victoria, Australia. We specialise in the provision of DCC Decoders and accessories as well as other small electronics components. We also offer products for sale on eBay (look for HobbiesRFun4All) and see our great feedback score for reference.

This is a part-time business; we used to have a full-time day job to attend to until COVID struck but I still ask that our customers be patient as we merge into semi-retirement. We do answer emails and messages - eventually. We sometimes need time to research answers and we have to fit this in between the day job and family commitments. We will answer all questions, even if it is to admit I don't know the amswer and cannot find a solution...

A key part of our service is advice - offering our hard learned knowledge with fellow modellers. We are prepared to go as far as offering our services to install decoders, both mobile and sound, for those who do not have the inclination or equipment to install their own.  We also repair locos and other rolling stock, correct installations that have not worked and generally return your equipment working better than when you sent it in.

Remember, Hobbies R Fun

This website is a construction zone, an unfinished layout. The bench work has been completed and most of the wiring.  We will continue to develop the scenery and structures so that we will maintain a fully functional website.  However, like all good layouts, it will always be in a state of growth.  We will change the scenery, rotate the rolling stock and may even re-align the right of way occassionally but we will retain the solid structure which will allow us to do this with ease.
